Honoring Susan’s father during Inktober was so much fun, we decided to not stop. Today’s drawing on John’s white board is one showing how he used to take her bike riding. Approximately around the age of eight, he felt that she was old enough to join the party that rode to McDonald’s for breakfast on Sunday mornings before church. There was a particular hill named Blackburn Hill that Susan had a hard time petaling up. What did her father do? He would petal briskly, give her a BIG push on the back to scoot her an extra yard or two, petal hard again to catch up to her, then repeat the process until she was at the top and could go on her own. What a dad… all so she could join in the Sunday fun.
This is just one reason she wants to give back to him while she can.
