Logo for Big Dream Events

Folks have been there and know that one knows how to plan a party like Big Dream Events. Never heard of them before? While new as a start-up, owners David Mardis and Rob Sheppeck, have been getting recognition for decades as great designers and over-the-top party planners. Deciding to make it official, SMH Illustration & Design put on their dance shoes and did a jig when asked to design Big Dream’s logo and business collateral. Check them out on their website and social media. Hire them for your next event or simply attend one of the parties they already have

“Draw Roll” please…

"Draw Roll" please...

Today’s drawing honoring Susan’s dad shows how much he loved his girls. Within reason, he gave them all he could. Should it have been a surprise then, when glasses were out and contacts were in, that Susan asked for a pair? Certainly her mother saw no need for the unnecessary expense. Her father though, was very easily convinced that contacts would improve her ability to see the basketball hoop. Anything for his girls to help them.

Another Drawing to Honor Susan’s Father

Another Drawing to Honor Susan's Father

Honoring Susan’s father during Inktober was so much fun, we decided to not stop. Today’s drawing on John’s white board is one showing how he used to take her bike riding. Approximately around the age of eight, he felt that she was old enough to join the party that rode to McDonald’s for breakfast on Sunday mornings before church. There was a particular hill named Blackburn Hill that Susan had a hard time petaling up. What did her father do? He would petal briskly, give her a BIG push on the back to scoot her an extra yard or two,

Last Day of Inktober

Last Day of Inktober

This happens to be the last day of “Inktober”. Today’s drawing is to honor Susan’s father as well. This is the basketball hoop he installed on possibly the only flat spot in their yard. The big pine tree served as a backstop. Whenever she asked, he would rebound her shots for as long as she wanted. Unsuccessfully she would entice him to play, but he would rebound for her until she was warn out.

This one describes the yard work he did for an elderly lady with whom he felt didn’t have the means to pay him. She was an artist so bartered painting lessons in exchange for his work. Susan learned how to paint with oils and care for her brushes properly. She learned to draw as a

A A Septic Referral Cards, T-shirt, Sweatshirts

Providing a pumped referral card for A A Septic was a bubbly experience. “We cleaned your tank, let us clean your vehicle” was the slogan used. Simply refer a new client and a car wash is on them. This is a great way to “come clean”. The studio provided cool T-shirts and sweatshirts for the employees as well. Please keep A A Septic in mind for all of your sewage needs. Tell them that SMH sent you and our little white van will get a free scrubbing!
