#Inktober is a drawing with ink challenge we stumbled upon that looked like fun. The goal is to draw with ink every day during the month of October. Because life has been a tad trying for Susan’s dad we are dedicating our drawings to him.
This one describes the yard work he did for an elderly lady with whom he felt didn’t have the means to pay him. She was an artist so bartered painting lessons in exchange for his work. Susan learned how to paint with oils and care for her brushes properly. She learned to draw as a plant grows and the different values in color.
Thank you to Miss Skelton for all you taught. Thank you Dad for always encouraging your children/grandchildren to pursue their passions and for beaming from ear to ear at the results.
Our medium is ink on John’s wipe-off board while he is in rehab.
